How Do I Access Professional Development/Support for Using the Literacy Footprints Kits?
Literacy Footprints systems are designed to support classroom, intervention, English language learners (ELL), and special education teachers in delivering high-quality, research-based reading instruction. Each Literacy Footprints kit includes a teaching guide that offers significant support to educators as it orients them in the practice needed to implement the guided reading lessons. Also in the teaching guide are links to the Literacy Footprints Resource page where teachers can access downloadable resources and demonstration videos. Each demonstration video showcases a literacy expert teaching a portion of the lesson framework to students in a small-group setting. Additionally, the lesson plan cards are designed as a scaffold to enhance the usability of the lessons and set the stage with the materials needed to teach them. Together, the teaching guide, demonstration videos, and lesson plan cards provide built-in professional learning that ensures seamless implementation of the Literacy Footprints lessons.
